Young Invincibles’ Generation Vaxxed Campaign Earns Bronze From Anthem Awards

(Washington, DC) –  Today, Young Invincibles was named a finalist and awarded bronze in the health community outreach category for their Generation Vaxxed campaign in the third Annual Anthem Awards.

From 2021 to 2023, Young Invincibles’ Generation Vaxxed campaign (#GenVaxxd) educated and provided necessary resources to young adults about the Covid-19 vaccine. YI held in-person events, hosted several weekends of action, and a month of artivism (art activism), connecting with nearly 30,000 young adults one-on-one. Through social media, paid ads, press coverage, webinars, and direct outreach, YI reached over 47 million young adults digitally and helped them learn about the vaccine.

The Anthem Awards was launched in response to the prevalence social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years. The third Annual competition received over 2,000 entries from more than 30 countries worldwide. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities.

Young Invincibles is thrilled to be honored as a winner amongst other phenomenal campaigns to engage communities and create a conversation to spark a movement.

In response, Kristin McGuire, Executive Director at Young Invincibles said:

“Engaging young people and helping them build a wealth of knowledge about how to keep themselves healthy is core to Young Invincible’s mission. Our work through Generation Vaxxed was pivotal to the health and wellness of young adults as we navigated the Covid-19 pandemic. We are honored to be amongst several esteemed organizations as a 3rd Annual Anthem Award winner. To be recognized as a winner for our Generation Vaxxed campaign is a reminder of how critical the young adult voice is in instilling change.

As a young adult-led campaign, we connected on a peer-to-peer level with educational content by young people for young people. In fostering this connection, we believe that by sharing experiences and insights, we can collectively shape a healthier and more informed future.

Young people, you are the leaders of tomorrow and that starts today. Remember, together, we are invincible!”
