On November 17-19, YI hosted an event series called The State of Young Texas, where we will built our collective vision that goes beyond elections and into action toward a Texas that works for young people. 

Put on by young advocates for advocates across Texas, our three-day event series built youth power and leadership through trainings, activities, and discussions. At the end of the event, attendees left with an understanding of what issues face young people in Texas, YI Texas’s policy agenda for 2021, and how to get involved.

The State of Young Texas sessions revolved around a different topic each night with community and policy solutions for many of the issues facing young people in Texas.
