[Washington, DC] – Yesterday, House Republicans offered two amendments that would
defund the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The first, offered by Representative McMorris
Rodgers of Washington, would prevent the Internal Revenue Service from spending any
funds to implement the new law. The second, offered by Representative Denny
Rehberg of Montana, would prevent the Department of Labor and Department of Health
and Human Services Departments from spending any funds to implement the law as
