Why did you join the Youth Advisory Board? I believe wholeheartedly in taking the systems created by and for those with the most and using their power and resources to support the least of us. I’m also out to prove that the “millennials don’t care” stereotype wrong one intentional collective action at a time.

Why did you join the Youth Advisory Board? YAB’s mission and values acquiesce with mine—amplify the voices of young people and create social change. Joining YAB will not only enable me to tackle the issues on higher education and healthcare, but it will also allow me to engage deeper into the conversation around diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

Why did you join the Youth Advisory Board? I wanted to join YAB because it would give me a chance to gage the problems faced by New York’s community. YAB brings together a diverse group of people and hearing everyone’s perspective will help to aid our fight in making the future more equitable.

Why did you join the Youth Advisory Board? I joined the YAB because I believe that expanding decision-making power to those typically left out of the conversation helps create more equitable, sustainable, and just cities. This board gives me the platform to help make broader civic engagement happen.

Why did you join the Youth Advisory Board? I joined the YAB to be more involved in the conversation around the student loan debt crisis and advocate for its solution. I wanted to be a part of the PR committee to provide news and press releases about the issues that the YAB will address to create a wider network of engagement.
