“Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn and Republican Bruce Rauner have made their case to become Illinois’ next governor before a crowd of about 1,500 younger voters. The candidates separately addressed what’s billed as the first statewide convention for millennials. Attendees ranged in age from late teens to about 34. Organizers say the Saturday event was intended to increase millennials’ political involvement. Turnout among the age group has historically been low.” Read more here.
