
Cameron Samuels (they/them)
Cameron Samuels organized efforts against book banning and LGBTQ+ censorship in Katy ISD. Initially facing the school board alone, within a couple of months, they managed to create a movement of students to pack school board meetings and distribute hundreds of banned books. Cameron is now organizing a coalition of Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (SEAT) to demonstrate youth visibility in policymaking. In the Texas Legislature, Cameron has organized on the frontlines in opposition to legislation diminishing students’ rights, delivering crucial testimony, and introducing legislation.

Claudia Ochoa (she/her)
Claudia Ochoa is a first-generation professional who works in a college access and completion non-profit in the Austin area. In her associate director role at Breakthrough Central Texas, Claudia supports first-generation students in reaching their personal and academic goals. In 2022, she received her master’s degree in Education Policy and Planning from UT Austin. Claudia is a proud alumna of Texas State University and UT Austin.

Hadi Fareed (he/him)
Hadi Fareed, a first-generation college senior at the University of Texas at Austin (UT), is pursuing a degree in kinesiology while aspiring to enroll in a Texas medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. Outside of his academic pursuits, Hadi dedicates his time to serving as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, coaching youth soccer at the YMCA, and conducting clinics in third-world countries. His involvement extends to research, where he explores the link between physical inactivity and postprandial lipemia levels while also working on an asthma intervention program in Latinx communities. With a passion for patient education and a commitment to advocating for underrepresented minorities, Hadi brings his invaluable experiences to Young Invincibles, where he aims to create a positive impact.
Kathryn Thomason (she/her)
Kathryn Thomason is a pre-law student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is part of the Humanities Honors program. Kathryn consistently aims to give back to her community to create positive and sustainable change.

Nekane Diaz Lopez (she/her)
Nekane Díaz is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico City who recently moved to Houston. Nekane is a college student currently aspiring to obtain a degree in Public Policy while pursuing a career in law. She currently works as a tutor, helping children with reading and math. She has also dedicated her time to the East Harris County Empowerment Council, where she learned about environmental justice and community organizing. As president of her college’s Film Club, she also dedicates part of her time to creating and promoting art through film. Nekane is passionate about advocacy, so she decided to join Young Invincibles, hoping to learn and make a positive change.

Sameeha Rizvi (she/her)
Sameeha Rizvi is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Public Health and Social Work. She is deeply passionate about public policy and education reform. In her prior role as the Vice President of the Senate of College Councils, she focused on championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the academic realm, striving to create a more inclusive college experience for all students. Currently serving as the Advocacy Director for the Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color Agency (QTBIPOCA), she dedicates herself to fostering a strong sense of community among QTBIPOC students and promoting inclusivity. Sameeha also serves as an organizer and Events Coordinator for Texas Students for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). As an organizer, she played a pivotal role in advocating for DEI during the 2023 Texas legislative session, rallying students, faculty, staff, and community members through educational events and public demonstrations. In her free time, Sameeha finds comfort in the company of her cats (Toph and Matilda), random history podcasts, and ice cream.
