YI West is building a movement!

We are looking for young adults who are ready and excited to become the next generation of community leaders. This program is a unique hands-on leadership development program aimed to train Millennials and Gen Z-ers to engage in their community around major issues that impact our generations such as higher education (access and affordability), health care (access, affordability, and prevention) and economic security.

Participants will learn about issues that impact young adults in California, how to use stories as a tool for community organizing, how to build coalitions, how to track legislation and local ordinances, and how to build momentum via social media.

The dates of the program will run September 10 – December 10, 2021 and meet biweekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. Attendance at weekly meetings is required.
