Young Invincibles Statement: Donald Trump is Re-elected as the President of the United States
(Washington, DC) – As of this morning, it has been declared that former President Donald Trump and Ohio Senator JD Vance have won the 2024 Presidential Election with 277 electoral votes.
This pivotal election reinforced the passion young people have for change and the desire for their voices to be heard. While final numbers are still pending, it is evident that voter turnout for this election was extremely high. Young adults, the most diverse generation and electorate, showed up in record numbers during early voting, emphasizing the importance and prevalence of the young adult vote. As numbers continue to be reported, we will further see the impact of the youth vote and young adult turnout.
In response, Kristin McGuire, Executive Director of Young Invincibles said:
“President Trump has been re-elected. His job is to represent everyone and we will not let him forget that. We are committed to pushing this Administration to advance opportunities for young people at every turn. As always, we will continue to hold the Administration accountable, ensure they prioritize what young adults need and that their voices are not only heard, but reflected in critical policies, such as affordable health care and higher education. Our country is more diverse than ever before, it is imperative that policies reflect this diversity and serve those directly impacted.
Our mission has always been, and will always be, to uplift the voices of young adults and ensure their concerns are heard and addressed. As we’ve done with past Administrations, regardless of political party, we’ll work diligently to make sure young adults are deeply involved with shaping the future of our country.
With many policy fights ahead we need your support—and we need young people to stay engaged and active. Young Invincibles is committed to uplifting and empowering young voices and we will not waiver from this promise.”
