[HOUSTON]–On Saturday, January 24, 2015, Enroll Gulf Coast Collaborative, Young Invincibles, and Get Covered America will host a Countdown to National Youth Enrollment Day Kick-Off party at Discovery Green to educate uninsured young adults about their new low-cost health insurance options available under the Affordable Care Act.

Despite the fact that more than 220,000 Texans enrolled in private health insurance plans during the first Open Enrollment period, more than 1 in 3 young Texans still lack health insurance. National Youth Enrollment Day is an annual day of action featuring dozens of national, state, and local organizations hosting events to educate young people about their new low-cost health insurance options and help them get enrolled. This second annual day of action comes before the last day of Open Enrollment on February 15, 2015.
