Let Us Introduce Ourselves …
Did you know Young Invincibles has a California office? Although our California staff has only been together for a couple months, we’ve been spreading Young Invincibles’ mission all around California. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been doing on the west coast.
CALIFORNIA EVENTS
Forum with Los Angeles Mayoral Candidates
On April 24th, YI California co-sponsored a forum with Eric Garcetti and Wendy Greuel, L.A’s mayoral candidates. We live Tweeted the event and asked the candidates questions on behalf of young people, so that come election day (May 21st) and beyond, our voices will be heard!
We posed for a team pic on the catwalk.

Focus Groups
We’ve been conducting focus groups for our Health Care Finder App, to find out how to improve our app and make sure that young people in California get the information they need on health care and the ACA.
Maria and Ben share a celebratory hug after each one.
Health Fairs
The staff has attended many health fairs throughout the state, informing people about their health care options.

Business 4 Better Conference
Ben attended the Bussiness4Better Conference aimed at building new partnerships among nonprofits, funders, and businesses.
He was very proud of his badge.
Office Life
CA Communications Coordinator Adriana is often hard at work, making sure the California media stays up to date on what’s going on with young Californians.
Also, we like to eat lunch in our parking lot.
We’re moving offices soon! More photos to come.
Thanks to JoAnne’s cupcakes, we know how to throw a party, no matter where we are.
Stay tuned – we’re gearing up to do even more this summer to make sure the voices of young Californians are heard on health care, higher education and employment issues!
