Voter Education Week is More Important Than Ever
Washington, DC – Today marks the start of National Voter Education Week, a nonpartisan digital voter education campaign that equips voters with the tools, information, and confidence they need to cast their ballots. Amid the rapidly changing circumstances leading up to the 2020 election, we know voter education will be more important than ever this year.
In response, Jesse Barba, Senior Director of External Affairs for Young Invincibles, released the following statement.
“It is paramount to provide voters with accurate information as the 2020 national election rapidly approaches. This National Voter Education Week is a key opportunity to make certain voters have the necessary information to cast their ballots confidently this fall. This election belongs to young people. They have the ability to change the outcome of who is elected at the local, state, and federal levels. This week our goal is to bridge the gap between registering to vote and actually casting a ballot. Young Invincibles and our partners will be sharing ways voters have the opportunity to find their polling location, understand their ballot, make a plan to vote in person, or by mail. Young adults between the ages of 18 and 34 are among the most educated and informed demographic in America, and this fall, they will weigh in on the future of this nation and its people.”
