Demise of Senate Republicans’ Radical Repeal Plan is a Sweeping Victory for Millions of Young Adults

[WASHINGTON]–Below is a statement from Young Invincibles’ Executive Director, Jen Mishory, on the Senate’s failed attempt to pass its rushed so-called Skinny Repeal plan:

“Earlier this year, Senate Republicans chose to embark on a radical path to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans, including millions of young adults. Tonight, after 7 months of Americans relentlessly fighting back, a majority of Senators rejected that plan – thanks to the work of people across the country, including young people, who made their voices heard loud and clear. We know that the fight to protect and improve our health care system for this generation does not end here. We will continue to elevate the voices of our generation to make health care better, improve on the coverage gains of the ACA, and fight off any future attempts to cut off access to health care for young people as they build their lives.”
