Portsmouth Herald: University Tuition Freeze Hinges on State Funding Request

“A budget request for over $200 million will have to be approved by state legislators if University System of New Hampshire students are to be first in the country to pay the same amount for tuition for four consecutive years. The system, comprised of the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, Keene State College and Granite State College froze in-state tuition after the two-year budget cycle was finalized in 2013. In order to maintain the freeze for the next two years, the university system requested state funding in the amount of $100 million for fiscal year (FY) 2016 and $105 million for FY 2017.” Read more here.
