Navigators Awarded Historic $100 Million to Continue Helping Millions Enroll in Health Coverage
(Washington, DC) – Monday, the Biden-Harris Administration awarded a historic $100 million to Navigators to continue helping millions enroll in health coverage. This $100 million in funding was awarded to organizations vital to helping underserved communities by conducting outreach and providing enrollment assistance.. The grants are part of a commitment of up to $500 million over five years – the longest grant period and financial commitment to date.
Navigators are an essential part of ensuring that millions of Americans sign up for coverage and find a plan that best suits their needs. In recent years, Navigators have helped over 20% of marketplace enrollees find and sign up for quality affordable health coverage through HealthCare.gov. Young Invincibles is thrilled to see a continued investment in Navigators and recognizing their critical work in enrollment.
In response, Martha Sanchez, Director of Health Care Policy and Advocacy at Young Invincibles said:
“Navigators are the backbone of the enrollment process and getting young adults signed up for health coverage. We congratulate the 44 awardees, and welcome new awardees to the Affordable Care Act enrollment community. Young Invincibles works extensively with Navigators through our national Get Covered Coalition and is grateful to see the continued support and necessary investment in Navigators. This funding will be critical to continue having historic numbers of Americans enrolled in health coverage. As Open Enrollment quickly approaches you can find a Navigator in your area by visiting GetCoveredAmerica.org.”
