HHS Secretary Returns to Dallas, to Again Urge Obamacare Enrollment

Dallas/Fort Worth Healthcare Daily

Kathleen Sebelius better be a member of a good frequent-flyer program. The Health and Human Services secretary will visit Dallas once again today, in an effort to push further enrollment in the Affordable Care Act’s healthcare exchanges.

Sebelius will join Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins to announce a number of new local efforts underway to enroll consumers. Secretary Sebelius and Judge Jenkins will also talk about the in-person assistance available in the Dallas area thanks to partner organizations like Young Invincibles, CitySquare, and the League of United Latin American Citizens.

The secretary has ping-ponged across the country in recent months, pushing enrollment. Federal officials are especially focusing on large urban areas, hence the focus on Dallas. She’ll also spend time today in San Antonio.
