To answer questions from residents of Atascosa and surrounding counties about the Affordable Care Act, South Texas Regional Medical Center and the Atascosa Health Center are partnering with area-wide and national agencies that have expertise in navigating the health insurance marketplace and sign up process for a community education seminar on the Affordable Care Act.

Experts from Enroll America and Young Invincibles will be available to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and provide insight on how to sign up to purchase health insurance.

This seminar will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in the Community Room of the South Texas Medical Plaza on the campus of South Texas Regional Medical Center. The meeting will take place from 6PM – 9PM at the South Texas Medical Plaza located at 1907 Highway 97E in Jourdanton.

Experts from Enroll America will present detailed information about the Affordable Care Act and how it impacts local residents. After the initial presentation, breakout sessions will be held where individual questions can be answered and attendees can meet with staff members fromAtascosa Health Center and South Texas Regional Medical Center who have been trained to help individuals navigate the health insurance sign up process.

South Texas Regional Medical Center will be providing food and refreshments for this important community event.
