Calling All Seasoned Interns!

If sequestration has you worried about your future employment prospects, have no fear!  Due to these exceptional circumstances, Young Invincibles has decided to expand its operations into the recruitment industry. What better way to help bring more jobs to young people than to just jump in and give out them out? With unemployment for young adults still ranking in at twice the national average, we need to take matters into our own hands. We’ll be passing along job postings we feel are a good match for our readership, starting with this gem from an organization seeking to significantly upgrade its talent base:

Role: Associate Intern (Full-time)

Organization: Multiple locations (TBD)

Description:

A wise person once said “the youth are the future of this nation,” and we believe just that. The details for this position are flexible, but we are sure that the right person with the right personality will be a perfect fit for the job.   This is a wonderful mid-level (intern) position for someone with a great sense of humor who is unable to find a job in today’s current economy.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project
  • Lead a team of 5 other entry-level interns
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full-scale project plans
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Assure quality at all times
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Evaluate project and assess results
    • Various other tasks

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years work experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
    • Demonstrated ability to increase productivity
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Ability to work with, or at least sit with, others
    • Excellent time management skills
    • A passion for the mission of all projects
    • Trilingual speaker preferred, but not required

 

This position is unpaid (based on experience).
