This week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) posted a memorandum about the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This memorandum from Acting Secretary Wolf urges Congress to fully rescind the program. Just weeks ago, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump Administration’s previous attempt to terminate DACA. DHS outlines the immediate changes they are making to the program, including rejecting applications associated with Employment Authorization Documents, shortening DACA renewals, and curtailing advance parole.
“Just last month, the Supreme Court decided to fully restore DACA, protecting millions of young immigrant families. With this new misguided effort, the Administration continues its attempt to chip away at DACA until it is dismantled.
At Young Invincibles, we recognize the need to support all young people who help make our country strong and who will build its future. We will continue to stand and fight alongside our partners and allies for the 650,000 DACA recipients who call America home. Your presence in this country makes it a better place.
