Westchester, New York – Ahead of Open Enrollment, health experts and advocates will present on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in New York State, and its impact on young New Yorkers. New York State has made great strides in reducing its uninsured rate for children – from 8% to less than 6% – since the NY State of Health opened for business. However, roughly 16 percent of young adults in New York are uninsured and the uninsurance rate among young Hispanics, aged 18 to 34, is 26 percent.

New options for health coverage mark an opportunity to eliminate health coverage disparities for marginalized communities. Please RSVP below to hear from top health care experts and advocates, who will discuss ways they plan to address these disparities in November during Open Enrollment, and beyond.

When: Monday, November 10th, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Who: Featuring speakers from Young Invincibles and the Children’s Defense Fund – New York. Tailored for New York City media and press. Open to experts, advocates and front-line healthcare communicators.

Where: North Castle Library – 19 Whippoorwill Rd E, Armonk, NY 10504

RSVP: Please

This event is being hosted by the Children Youth & Families Taskforce of Healthcare for All New York and is supported by a grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies.
