[Washington, DC] – This week, the President released his budget for FY 2012, amidst an ongoing fight over a House Continuing Resolution to provide funding for the rest of FY 2011. Young Invincibles has analyzed the President’s Budget and the CR to see how they address key youth priorities. While the President’s Budget does a vastly better job in investing in the future of young Americans – House Republicans in the CR have aggressively targeted programs important for young adults – neither the CR or President’s Budget proposal go far enough in addressing the current youth crisis around jobs and economic opportunity.
