[WASHINGTON] – On Saturday, February 14, 2015, Young Invincibles and top health care advocates working across the state, will help host a health care enrollment event to drive Millennial sign-ups during the final week of Open Enrollment. The event comes on the heels of new enrollment data released by HHS that includes state-by-state demographic breakdowns, and ahead of the final deadline to get covered this season: February 15.

Individuals who forgo health insurance may have to pay a penalty of $325 or 2% of income, whichever is higher. Since young adults end up in the emergency room more than any other age group (except the elderly), this health care fair presents — for many Millennials in the area — a final opportunity sign up for low-cost insurance with in-person assistance before the season ends. Most Millennials are eligible for tax discounts.

Saturday, February 14 & Sunday, February 15

WHAT: Health Care Fairs With Valentine’s Day Theme

LOCATION/TIME: Joe Celestin Center (1525 NW 135 Street, North Miami, FL 33167), from 10 a.m.-3 p.m
