(HOUSTON) – The Get H.Y.P.E. (Healthy Young People Everywhere) College Tour is bringing three special events to the University of Houston – Downtown to empower college students to get serious about their health and encourage them to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. This three-part event will offer a free Zumba class and line dancing to get participants moving, a press conference to discuss the Affordable Care Act open enrollment–featuring the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management Katherine Archuleta, and a dynamic Town Hall event.

The Town Hall will focus on the most pressing problems for young people today. College students and other young adults are dealing with high college costs, student loan debt, community violence and the additional challenge of being uninsured. The interactive panel will pull questions from the audience and dive into a number of issues that run the gamut of what youth and young adults are facing today. Information will be available on the benefits of the Affordable Care Act and organizational strategies for their communities. Media outlets interesting in attending the press conference must register here: http://action.naacp.org/page/s/press-credentials–get-hype-college-tour .
