Recommendations To Better Serve Young Adults

With our nation’s economy struggling through a slow recovery, the American Jobs Act (AJA) could not come at a better time. Young Americans in particular are having difficulty making ends meet. In August, the unemployment rate for 16 to 24 year olds stood at 17.7 percent, almost twice the national average.1 The total number of jobs for those ages 18 to 34 remains 2.5 million below its pre-recession level.2 Now is certainly the time for action.
