Young Invincibles Encouraged by Summer Youth Jobs Provision in H.R. 4213, Supports Further Improvements Before Final Passage

Washington, DC – Young Invincibles lauds the decision of the U.S. House of Representatives to include the summer youth jobs provision in the most recent version of H.R. 4213, The American Workers, State, and Business Relief Act of 2010, and urges the Senate to keep this provision intact as they begin to debate the bill.  However, the decision in the House bill to remove the much-needed extensions of COBRA health insurance subsidies for unemployed workers and Medicaid funding for states is bad policy for young adults, as states are already on the verge of cutting key services that young adults rely on.
