YI Files Amicus Brief in Florida Health Care Reform Case

On Friday, Nov 19th, Young Invincibles submitted an amicus brief to the Northern District of Florida in the Federal case challenging health reform, Florida v. United States Department of Health and Human Services. The brief expresses the organization’s support for the new law, and speaks to the relief it offers young Americans.

Young Invincibles’ motion specifically details the enormous benefit health reform brings to the health, finances, education, and mobility of a generation that often lacks affordable coverage.

“Millions of young Americans will go without basic health care protections provided by the new law if the minimum coverage provision and Medicaid expansion are ruled unconstitutional.  We believe that every American deserves to have access to quality, affordable health care,” said Aaron Smith, Executive Director of Young Invincibles.
