Los Angeles 2013: A Mayoral Candidates Forum
Young Angelenos to engage candidates on the state of LA’s future

[Los Angeles, CA] – Young Invincibles is co-sponsoring a forum for mayoral candidates with event hosts National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles Section and Bend the Arc on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

Mayoral candidates Eric Garcetti, Council Member, 13th District and Wendy Greuel, City Controller will be present, and the forum will be moderated by Dave Bryan, Political Reporter for CBS2/KCAL9-TV.

This forum will give young adults the chance to ask the candidates questions about their vision for Los Angeles before the mayoral runoff on May 21. Young Invincibles will also be live tweeting throughout the evening, to give those who cannot make the event in person a chance to still participate online. By following #LAMayor and @YI_Care, they can stay up-to-date with the evening’s discussion and may even have their question read out loud.

“We want young Angelenos to know that their voice is also important in this race, whether they attend in-person or on social media,” said Tamika Butler, California Director for Young Invincibles. “We are thrilled to have the two remaining candidates participate in a format in which young people from all over the city can participate.”
