[WASHINGTON]–Jennifer Wang, Policy Director of Young Invincibles, released the following statement in response to the Administration announcing that it has secured $480 million in debt relief for current and former Corinthian College students.

“For far too long, some education companies have used deceitful tactics to manipulate students into taking out high-cost private student loans. Today, the CFPB and Department of Education’s agreement to forgive more than $480 million in student debt from Corinthian College’s private loan program is a significant step toward justice for these students. We hope that the government will continue to work toward protecting students from unscrupulous practices.”
