(Washington) — Following the D.C. Circuit Court’s unanimous decision to uphold the U.S. Department of Education’s Gainful Employment rule, Rory O’Sullivan, deputy director at Young Invincibles and student advocate on the panel responsible for creating the rule, issued the following statement:

“The D.C. Circuit’s unanimous decision to uphold the Gainful Employment rule is a long-awaited victory and ensures that predatory schools can no longer fleece students trying to get an education while doing little to nothing to prepare them for the workforce. As the negotiator representing students on the Department of Education’s rulemaking panel, I am relieved to know that some of the worst actors will finally be held accountable for taking advantage of students.”
